-------------- STATEMENT -----------------

The most accurate explanation of my work will never be in words you can read. My best definition will be your first gut reaction upon contact with each piece. The works are a unique destination of color, gestures, and textures. It is for individual
viewers to digest and prognosticate within their own field of personal experience.

I will shift into the realm of how rather than "why?" It it based on my own personal quotation. "Life is a flaccid anvil - the only strength mankind demonstrates today,is weakness." Original inspirational elements are composed of strong and weak forces. The concept expands by finding strength within something estimated to be weak and vice-versa.

Technique is not simply a choice of overall composition and execution. It is the ability to create an intangible vehicle from a gestalt of macrocosmic intuition rectified into a microcosmic point of inspiration. Each vehicle is used once for a specific piece of art- ignited and taken to that place. A destination that before the first stroke of paint , was a stillpoint between all that never was and all that will be. I travel natural, intuitive roads of balance and arrive at a final cohesive image. I am receptive to fragments of the greater whole. At a similar level of energy - active enough to tie all these directions together forming a map of premeditated and subconscious actions fused into one work.

Headroom blabber / Interview

Interview/review

This was from another art site I belong to - I was invited to post a one question
reply to the process and inspiration of my work so here it is :

An alchemical marriage of inner animus/anima male/female energy is important to start a balance of creative action.
William S. Burroughs said it best : "Exterminate all rational thought"
more important is my view of the actual space and how it's dealt with.
Yin / Yang ( active / passive ) Microcosmic/Macrocosmic . each piece I do is a group of smaller pieces that come together. On a more aware level -
I only focus on little/microcosmic spots of the piece - these become "active" with me and the rest of the piece I'm not working on "passive"
So the Greater piece is MacroCosmic yet passive, While the little spots
or areas I work on are MicroCosmic(small) yet active. But it all happens in a very hyper-Gnostic-Intuitive level of "almost not thinking" but more just doing/letting the active gestures mix with an almost objective "sitter" anima within me that likes different spots on the piece at different given moments. I never work on a piece all at once or in one sitting. Some of my works have taken 8 yeras to complete in
displaced snippets of time. There is also a huge facet of layers in
most cases. One layer is overtaken by another more current group
of subliminal active whims/actions but normally the under-layer peeps through in places to make the whole thing more complex.
So really - there is never any real plan, vision or concept of what the piece will look like in t he end- it sort of , finds itself along the way. It is a map of subliminal routes to an end destination of color , layers , and textures. I'm even more intense about the textures- I'm such a process-Bunny ,I can look at one spot of a piece for some good minutes/half hour think about materials to use just for that paticular area at that paticular time - and work that few square inches for another hour or more.
